|I began practicing yoga in my hometown of Austin, TX in 2007. At the time I was in the midst of coping with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, weight gain, and chronic back pain during my freshman year of college at the University of Texas. As a student with limited means I attended ‘free’ and ‘donation based’ yoga classes between the recreation center on campus and Black Swan Yoga downtown. Almost immediately I felt better in my body. Over time my panic attacks were less frequent, and my mind was more at ease. I began to ditch the prescription drugs and doctor visits for my yoga mat.
In 2011, shortly after earning my bachelors degree in Social Work, I stepped out of my comfort zone and relocated to south Florida for a fresh start and to be closer to family. I slipped back into an unhealthy and stressful lifestyle working full time at a law office.
In 2014, I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training at I Love Yoga Studio in Dania Beach, FL with Moses Love and Zayna De Gaia. The following year I left my full time job to pursue a happier, healthier life, sharing more of my passion in hopes of creating a positive and lasting impact in the world.
The journey continued to 2017 when I completed my advanced +300 hour teacher training at Yoga Journey in Boca Raton, FL with Leslie Glickman.
I know whole-heartedly that this is what I am on this earth for. Like Mother Teresa said, “We can do no great things, only small things with great love.” All the small things add up, every moment, every act, every day. I continue to learn and discover the power in the small, subtle things, and I appreciate the opportunities to create greatness.
Margo is passionate in creating sacred spaces for ceremony, and is committed to providing a nurturing environment in which her students can connect with their hearts and grow in their practice with peace, compassion, and loving support. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Nova Southeastern University and received her 200-Hour YTT certification at I Love Yoga Studio and Healing Center under the direction of Moses Love and Zayna de Gaya. There, she discovered her voice, and was able to express her love and devotion for her practice through Mantra and Sacred Medicine Songs. During a spiritual journey to Lake Titicaca, Margo received a call to work with music and sound through yoga. She discovered a way to combine her love of ancestral music, language, cultures, and reverence of nature for the purpose of healing and sharing it with her students so that they may connect with their own unique and beautiful voices. Margo currently teaches Candlelight Yoga with Live Piano and Sound Healing at I Love Yoga Sudio and Healing Center.
